Work recommenced after joint inspection on 23rd March. Foundation work -100%, Steel structure -78%.
15th Mar 2006:
Work is temporarily suspended pending report on cement/sand casting blocks. Project Engineer and MoE Engineer will make a joint inspection on quality of work and materials used.
28th Feb 2006:
Project Engineer visited site on 27th feb. Work is progressing satisfactorily. Steel structure erection -25% complete. Foundation work -100% complete. Quality of cent blocks not satisfactory - samples removed for testing.
15th Feb 2006:
Work continues to progress at a satisfactory rate despite the difficult location. Project Engineer will visit site on 27th feb.
31st Jan 2006:
Work is progressing at a satisfactory pace. All foundations are now complete. Other material being prefabricated at another site.
15th Jan 2006:
Construction continues at a reasonable pace. Project Consultant visited the site on 4th January and was pleased with the work completed despite the difficult conditions.
31st Dec 2005:
Reports from site indicate that work is progressing at a reasonable pace with a small workforce. Project Consultant will visit site on 4th Jan 2006 to review the work.
15th Dec 2005:
Construction work commenced on 10th December. Contractor has agreed to increase workforce to make up for late start. Site visit by Engineer due in 1st week of January 2006.
30th Nov 2005:
Construction work still not commenced due to escalation of civil unrest in area. Apex Committee monitoring situation closely.

Construction work was put off till after the Presidential elections as most of the workforce had to return to their villages to cast their votes.

Mobilisation of workforce has commenced and materials being stockpiled at site. Expect construction work to begin shortly.
