PROGRESS REPORTS
29th February 200:
The new school was declared open on 18th February in a colourful ceremony. Trustee K.R. Ravindran was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

31st January 2008:
All work is now fully complete and the school is ready to be ceremonially opened on 18th February 2008.

31st December 2007:
All construction work is now complete and workforce is busy with landscaping and finishing touches. New School will be ceremonially opened on 18th Feb 2008.

30th November 2007:
Most of the construction work is now complete and only a small workforce remains to complete the little painting and finishing work.

31st October 2007:
Work continues to progress well with both 3 stry bldgs now complete and also Principal's Qtrs. Fencing work is 90% complete.

31st August 2007:
Work on the school is now 80% complete and Contractor is optimistic about finishing job by end September. Opening of other school in area has given added impetus to the team.

15th August 2007:
Work pace has picked up again following the return of additional workforce from other school in the area. Expect schol to be complete by end September 2007.

15th July 2007:
Pace of work has slowed down slightly but is still at appreciable level. Overall 75% of the construction is now complete. Target completion date is now revised to end October 2007.

30th June 2007:
Work is progressing quite well and Contractor is optimistic of completing project by end August 2007. 3-stryd Bldg 1 –Overall-90% , - Fencing work-100%. 3-stryd Bldg 2- 90% Assembly hall- 80% Principal’s Quarters- 100%, Water Tank- Overall 70%

15th June 2007:

30 April 2007:
Construction work is progressing steadily despite difficult location. Contractor/Lead Club confident of completing work by mid July.

07 April 2007:
Site will be closed from 8-23 April for the local New Year holidays. Next Progress report will be on 30th April 2007.

31 Mar 2007:
Project Engineer visited site in mid March and noted that progress was very good. Target completion date is fixed for end June 2007.

28th Feb 2007:
Work is continuing very well. Project Engineer will visit site around first week of March to inspect work completed and agreed date of completion with contractor.

Work continues at very slow pace but this is commendable because movement in the area is restricted owing to security concerns. Project staff will visit site for inspection in first week of December 2006.

15th Nov 2006:
Work still continuing with drastically reduced work force. Project staff will visit site for inspection in first week of December 2006.

31st Oct 2006:
Work continues to progress in fits and starts dependent on the level of tension in the area. Progress is slow but commendable in the present circumstances. Planned visit of Project staff put off for early December.

15th Oct 2006:

Area is middle of heavy fighting and the Construction site has been vacated owing to security concerns. Situation being monitored on a daily basis by project staff.

Work continues with reduced workforce despite the difficult location. 3 stry bldg 1 - Finishes GF 50%, 1st flr 50%, 2nd flr columns & bk wk 100%,Roof - 20%. 3 stry bldg 21st flr columns & bk wk 50%. Assembly Hall columns upto roof level.

30th June 2006:
Work continues at fair pace despite the difficult location. 3 stry Bldg 1 - 2nd flr slab shuttering & R/F 20%. 3stry Bldg2 - 1st flr slab 100%. Assembly Hall - columns upto roof - 80%. Principal's qtrs foundations upto DPC level.

15th June 2006:
Work is progressing quite satisfactorily once again despite the difficult location. 3 stry Bldg 1 - 2nd flr slab shuttering & R/F 10%. 3stry Bldg2 - 1st flr slab 100%.

31st May 2006:
Pace of work has now picked up slightly with increase of workforce. Expect full workforce to be mobilised by mid June.

15th May 2006:
Reduced workforce at site owing to present security situation. Apex Committee monitoring situation on a daily basis with MoE, Contractor and Project staff. The security of our workforce remains the highest priority of the Apex Committee.

30th April 2006:
Work continues to progress satisfactorily. Reduced workforce ate site owing to present security situation. Apex Committee monitoring situation very closely.

7th April 2006:

No real progress owing to tension in the area which have posed security risks. Workmen who had earlier left the site have now almost all of them returned.

Simmering civil unrest in the area is hampering our progress and causing some concern. Security of workforce is our first priority.

Construction work continues at a very good pace. Have incorporated a few additional requirements of MoE regarding structural improvements.

15th Oct 2005:
Construction work has now commenced and is progressing well.Work is completed on the foundation of all sections.

30th Sep 2005:
Construction work delayed slightly owing to modifications to drawings as required by MoE. Expect work to commence by mid October.

15th Sep 2005:
Foundation stone laid on 11th September. Workforce now mobilised at site. Expect construction work to begin shortly.

31 August 2005:
Foundation stone laying scheduled for 11th September. Expect construction work to begin by mid September.

Work is being shared by four contractors due to special circumstances. Lead Club will act as the co-ordinator of all contractors.

Paperwork from architect/contractor has been futher delayed.

30 June 2005:
Await final paperwork from contractor for awarding of tender. Expect to commence construction in mid July.

This school was allocated to us only on 3rd March 2005.
Initial site inspection is now in progress.
