15th July 2007:
Work is now complete on the construction. Water tower work is stalled pending decision to modify existing tower or build new one. Filling of land is 90% complete too.
15th June 2007:
Sub contractor has almost completed the filling of the land and work on the water tower has begun.
15th May 2007:
All construction work is now complete. Filling of land is also progressing well. Work on the water supply will begin at the end of the month.
30 April 2007:
Work continues at a steady pace and now 95% of construction work has been completed. Two issues remaining is the filling of the land and the provision of water to the school. Contractor has about 30% Sinhala labour at site and is keen to release them over safety concerns and so will concentrate on provision of water supply. Filling of land will be handled by sub-contractor under supervision of Apex Committee. Target completion date is end June 2007.
07 April 2007:
Site will be closed from 8-23 April for the local New Year holidays. Next Progress report will be on 30th April 2007.

Progress of work is continuing at a very good pace. Overall 80% of work has now been completed.

After long delay work has once again commenced with new Site Manager and plan of work in place. Project staff will be at site to monitor the progress of work.

Construction work is virtually at a standstill. Apex Comm met Lead Club & Contractor and issued ultimatum to produce workable schedule and deliver or face cancellation.
15th July 2006:
Progress of work still very slow and is causing some concern. Contractor has still not produced new work schedule as promised. Lead Club told to ensure Contractor complies with or face cancellation of contract.
30th June 2006:
Progress of work still very slow. Lead Club/Contractor given ultimatum to draw up acceptable programme of work with target completion date of end October 2006.
15th June 2006:
Work is in progress but is still not at an acceptable pace. Contractor and lead Club have changed site personnel and assured Apex Committee of improved performance by end June.

Work pace has increased slightly following meeting between Apex Committee and Contractor. Expect full workforce to be mobilised by mid June.
