31st July 2006:
School was officially opened on 29th July in colourful ceremony amidst a large gathering including representatives of the overseas sponsors.

15th July 2006:
All construction work is now complete and the new school is being readied for the official opening ceremony scheduled for 29th July 2006.

30th June 2006:
Work is now nearing completion and is concentrated on ancillary works and finishing touches to most areas. Opening ceremony scheduled for 29th July 2006.

15th June 2006:
Work has progressed well. Blk D,. Blk B, & Classroom Blk 100% complete. Blk C -90% complete. Target completion date mid July.

31st May 2006:
Work continues to progress well. Blk D Doors & windows -60%, Painting - 100%, Elect - 60%. Blk B Flr rendered 85%, Painting 75%. Blk C - Ext plaster - 90%, Int plaster - 70%.Classroom Blk- Doors & windows - 60%, Painting 100%. Target completion date end July 2006.

15th May 2006:

The construction site will be closed for the period 8-20 April for the local New Year holidays. Next update will be as at 30th April 2006.

Work is progressing at a fair pace. Blk D S/F roof-100%, Plaster in 3 flrs-100%.Painting -35%. Blk B Roof-100%, Ext Plaster -100%.Painting 100%. Classroom Blk- Roof-100%.Painting 40%.

15th Mar 2006:
Work continues at a good pace. Block D – S.F Roof .-100%, Plaster in 3 floors-100%, Painting – 35%, Block C—, Ext.Plaster -45% , Roof - 60%, so fit plaster-90%, Block B – Roof -100%, Ext. Plaster- -100%,Painting 35% , Class Rm Blk.- Roof -100%, Ext. Plaster- -100%, Painting 35%.

28th Feb 2006:
Work is progressing well and is on schedule. Blk D S/F roof-100%, Plaster in 3 flrs-85%. Blk B Roof-100%, Ext Plaster -100%. Classroom Blk Roof-100%.

31st Jan 2006:
Work progressing satisfactorily. Blk D - SF Bk work - 100%, GF Plaster - 50%,Blk C - FF slab - 100%, SF Beams - 75%, Blk B - roof trusses - 100%.

15th Jan 2006:
Construction work progressing smoothly. Overall 65% of work completed. Target date for completion 30th April 2006.

31st Dec 2005:
Work continues to progress very well and on schedule. Overall 60% of work completed. Target date for completion 30th April 2006.

15th Dec 2005:
Work continues to progress well and at a healthy pace. Blk B - roof level columns 100%. Block C slab in 1st flr complete. Classroom Blk - 2nd flr slab 100% complete.

30th Nov 2005:
Work continues at a reasonable pace. Block B complete upto roof level.Block D and C 75% complete.

15th Nov 2005:
Work continues to progress at a satisfactory pace. Work on 2nd floor in progress in blocks A,B and D. Block C work is completed upto DPC level.

31st Oct 2005:
Construction work continues at a very good pace. Classroom height a little too low. Have made changes to increase height of classrooms in remaining Block C.

15th Oct 2005:
Work continues to progress well and on schedule. Work completed upto slab level in all blocks. Overall 60% work complete.

30th Sep 2005:
Work progressing well and is on schedule. More than 50% complete in most areas including admin block and clasroom blocks.

15th Sep 2005:
Construction work is now in progress but programme is about a week behind schedule.

31 August 2005:
Construction work is now in progress but at a very slow pace and slightly behind schedule.

15 August 2005:
Work is now in progress and continues on schedule.

31 July 2005:
Foundation stone laying held on 18th July and work is now in progress on foundation.

15 July 2005:
Foundation laying ceremony to be held on 18th July and work to begin thereafter.

30 June 2005:
Letter of award issued to contractor. Expect construction work to begin by mid July.

21 April 2005:
Preliminary designs and estimates have been forwarded to the Apex Committee for evaluation and award of contract.

7 Feb 2005:
Work has begun to clean out school premises and make preliminary inspections.
Expect to have initial estimates and BOQ’s in hand by last week February.
